East Brown Cow Welcomes Allison Walton as Architectural Designer

Updated: Oct 4, 2022

East Brown Cow, a Portland-based real estate investment, management & development firm, is pleased to announce the expansion of their development team with the hiring of Allison Walton.

As Architectural Designer, Walton will oversee multiple facets of the design process for small and large projects, offering design services on a project-by-project basis and acting as in-house designer for smaller renovation and improvement projects. She will also assist in the planning and management of all development projects throughout the firm, from conceptualization to completion.

“Allison brings a fresh design perspective to East Brown Cow, and her new role will be vital as we continue to expand throughout downtown Portland,” says Tim Soley, President and CEO of East Brown Cow. “We are thrilled to welcome her to our growing team at a time when we are taking on more projects than ever before.”

With a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) nearly under her belt, Walton brings a zealous energy and passion for spatial problem solving to the East Brown Cow team. Her love for design can be traced back to a mentorship program she participated in during high school where she learned the building blocks of architecture. From there she attended University of Maine at Augusta, where she simultaneously worked for an architecture firm that specialized in historic preservation and gained experience in drafting. Walton came full circle this summer and honed her design skills by teaching an architectural seminar at an educational camp, underlining her zest for creative collaboration. She currently resides in Augusta.

Walton hopes to incorporate her passion for user experience within the realm of spatial design. “I love solving spatial problems, and the user experience is always in the forefront of my mind,” she shares. “I’m most looking forward to collaborating with all facets of the design process and further integrating East Brown Cow’s approach to design and development into ongoing projects.”
