East Brown Cow and Old Port Square are pleased to welcome Hank & Artie’s to the Old Port Square district. Now open, the Maine-based food truck will be serving its signature lineup of smash burgers, fries, and rotating chef-created specials at 427 Fore Street, directly adjacent to the Old Port Square Garage.

Founded and operated by Portland resident and chef Sean Telo, Hank & Artie's began as a pop-up at North Deering’s G&E Fest – where Sean and fellow chef and friend Colin Minte were grilling their burgers under a tent for neighbors. It quickly grew into one of Portland's most popular local food trucks, with multiple trucks serving customers throughout Portland. With a commitment to sourcing high-quality, local ingredients from Maine farms, Hank & Artie’s serves a core menu of signature burgers, alongside monthly burger and fry specials.

"Old Port Square has been focused on elevating and supporting our local food scene, and Hank & Artie’s is a fantastic new addition to this district," said Jacob Soley, Director of Development at East Brown Cow. "We look for partners and tenants who are as dedicated to their community as they are about their craft, and Hank & Artie's embodies that. We’re thrilled to welcome them.”

Before launching Hank & Artie's, Sean spent decades working in restaurants in Chicago, New York City, and Atlanta before relocating to Portland with his family over six years ago. Sean decided to focus on the food truck model instead of brick-and-mortar as a way to offer a different style of workplace for experienced chefs — with consistent daytime hours, smaller teams, and more creative ownership. Today, Hank & Artie's operates multiple trucks staffed by local, accomplished chefs, each bringing their own perspective while maintaining the truck's signature menu.

"Hank & Artie’s allows us to offer delicious, craveable food while creating a new work environment for chefs," said Sean, owner of Hank & Artie’s. "Our new location at Old Port Square gives us exactly what we were looking for – a place where people are out exploring, where they can stumble upon us for lunch or dinner, grab a burger made with Maine ingredients, and hopefully come back again the next time they’re in the Old Port."

Located outside the Old Port Square Garage at 427 Fore Street, Hank & Artie's will be serving its signature burgers Thursday through Monday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. through October 31. Hank & Artie's joins a robust line-up of food trucks throughout Old Port Square, including K-Pop Kimbap at the same location on Thursdays, and Stone Fox Creamery, which is parked at 46 Exchange Street daily throughout the summer.
